What's the best way to create an exe file?

Posted 28 February 2011 - 11:10 AM

Hey everyone,

I've got my wonderful little application working and looking all spiffy, but now I want to be able to run it from a Windows desktop. What is the best way for generating an exe file to run my Java application? I've heard "oh, there's third-party software to generate that..." and some vague things about Java Desktop Integration, but I haven't gotten very far with either.

Thanks!

Why generate an EXE file? Just generate a JAR file, which will run on Windows, Mac, *Nix, or whatever other OS you have a JVM on.

Because it's a commercial product and "exe" is more user-friendly.
