sudoku game program

a have a problem on my code, Im still a beginner of programming, Im using C programming
 FILE *sdPtr; 

the "file *sdPtr" will error. Why this syntax will error?

Well you need

#include <stdio.h>

In order to have a declaration for a FILE* pointer in your code.

Further, it's a good idea to post exact error messages, and more than one line of code.
Mentioning your OS and Compiler is also a good idea as well.
