Splash Screen

Post icon  Posted 14 December 2006 - 09:55 AM

I am struggling with my on-line class of VB.net.
Created my Splash Screen. Text book shows me how to add the Text at the Bottom of the Splash Screen.

My assignment is to have "WORD" on the Left Hand Side half way of the Screen. I have no clue . Not seeing anything in my text book.

Did you create your splash screen by creating a form and adding text to it and then calling that form from your load event?

Unless I'm not understanding your question, you can just add a label with the default text being "WORD" and place it on your form where you need it.

I'm not exactly sure what your trying to do either. Sounds like you just need to create another form (the splash screen) and add whatever you want it to display. On the main form you could add something like this

Thread th = new Thread(new ThreadStart(DoSplash));
th.Start();
Thread.Sleep(3000);
th.Abort();
Thread.Sleep(1000);

and on the splash screen form add

Splash sp = new Splash();
sp.ShowDialog();
