I can not get my pics to load in Dreamweaver. I know this is common. I've searched every knowledge base I know of, this site had one posting, but it didn't help. I am totally frustrated as I need this completed by Friday!! Is there someone out there that can walk me through it. I've been working in this for over 5 hours!

lets be a little bit more broad on the next post please...
dreamweaver not loading pics, i have no idea what you are talking about.
dreamweaver is a wysiwyg which means its just interpreting the code and making it look pretty,
so you dont need it to display an image
the code for inserting an image in an html page is
<img src="location of your file.extension of your file">
im guessing you just dont have the images in the right place.
or moved the html file to a different spot on your computer so all the relative links are off.

I don't know how else to state it. The pictures don't come up. I'm volunteering for a non-profit and doing a simple update, or so I thought. I added one line and one page for an auction that starts today, Friday. I've never used Dreamweaver before and have only used one of those templates before to make a website and that was about 6 years ago.
I've checked and checked and checked the paths. I've redone them everywhich way I can think of doing it and the pics still don't display. I went to the server and the pictures come up but not on the website?????

Why not give us a screenshot of the file structure and the page with one of the pictures highlighted so we can see the path.
Dreamweaver doesn't just randomly not show images, there is an issue with where your file is located, how your paths are setup, where the images are, etc. etc.
Without seeing the file structure, or the code, we really can't help. Sorry it's not something simple like "click here".

Ok heres the deal. It's easy and it will happen every time... Dreamweaver does not show you your images. It just puts them there and puts a little icon looking thing for the picture, however when you open the file to veiw as a webpage say in IE then the pictures will show up. Anyone who has used Dreamweaver heavily should know that...

I would agree to some extent. However, if you have configured DreamWeaver properly, and you are saving your .html in the right place, and using relative paths that match those of your server... then the images should display. DreamWeaver can be a bit fidgety at times, but this is not related to the software itself, it is still a path issue.

FIXED!Finally!!
1/2 the problem was the code. I still don't know what the guy did. I just copied it. The other 1/2 of the problem was that I had copied the file to 2 different places on the server. So I was editing one right and it was not updating the right file. Just happened to notice it. Geeze! What a nightmare, but finally it's done. Thanks all.
