Difference between Linux and other Os

I have only used MAC and Windows ( Mostly windows) in my lifetime and I really want to know If there is a significant difference between those and linux

What can you do on linux and prices and availability.
Game compatibility
Control over system :hammer:

technically itís very similar to Mac, though I believe Apple just has better (paid) UI designers.

Linux price from zero to anything depending on the distributor. Availability is epic as there is dozen of different distributors.

Game compatibility? Few native games, few games run on wine, check winehq for game compatibilities with wine.

You have full control over your systems unlike mac or windows, you can do anything with the system of course it needs bit of knowledge on how to do what you might want to do.
