I was just wondering if there are any sites were developers can sell their applications? If there are, which ones are the best sites?

It would help if you describe what kind of app you have and what it does. The question is too broad to answer. Is ita desktop app (if so, what OS), is it a mobile app, is it a web app, etc...

Desktop app, Mobile app, the works. And regardless of what it does. I'm looking for a site called, I dunno.. "AppMarket.com" for example, a user/developer creates a profile and then can sell his apps online to anyone that cares to buy it, when posting an app you want to sell you can catagorise it under "Business", "Entertainment", "Finance", "Games" etc. As well as say what platform it's for...

Then people can buy your apps online using paypal or whatever...

So yeah, anything like that on the net? Or did I just post a pretty neat idea for all eyes to see?

Well depend on what programs your selling but i guess the best thing you can do is to make a site of your own for every program you want to sell. In this site you can put demo downloads, the program download(purchase), support of the program etc. After all if your going to take money for something you have to support it more or less.

Well, there's always download.com... You can create a seller profile there and offer paid & free downloads.
