Visual Studio Error: Cannot activate a deployment with earlier version

Hi all,

I'm currently working on a Windows Forms application.. but before I can get started coding, I need to run the app from my local, but im getting a weird error:
-Cannot activate a deployment with earlier version than the current minimum required version of the application.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it saying I am using the wrong version of visual studio? This error msg makes no sense to me. I have the latest code, and am simply trying to run it locally. Thanks in advance

Have you checked the version of .NET installed against the version the app is looking for?

I am installing the latest version of .NET atm, so maybe that will work. I also forgot to mention that this application uses clickOnce, and the error appears after I publish and then click Install.
