css ?

i know practically nothing about css. and i was wondering how i would take a navigation thing i have already come up with. just a table few images and some text, and make it so it appeared on the top of all my webpages. sounds like a dumbass question but i know nothing about css or anything like it so how would i go about making this script. yea, pain in the butt 2 explain 2 me so y dont u give me a link. ;)

Well, to tell you the truth, that really has nothing to do with CSS unless you want it to edit your text, and make it look pretty. You will want to use Server Side Includes. Just look em up on Webmonkey, they have a tutorial :D

Yup, SSI is the key to this and its formula is used through many codes such as PHP, PERL etc.

First thing you need to know is if you're hosting provides SSI. if so, your in luck!
Second step is:
replace all .htm or .html extensions with .shtml
the s represents the SSI.
Now, to include a file into another file with SSI is

the "virtual" is optional and is only usually used if you'r throwing somthing inf rom another directory. If not, take it out. Just experiment a bit. Just a reminder that you can include shtml or htm/html files

Doesn't this thread belong in databases, PHP, CGI, ASP? I think it's ironic since capty is a mod in both that thread and this one yet he posted in here. :)

He first thought it was CSS (more design). But yeah.. It was kinda both. But now that it's SSI with includes etc.. send it over!

personally, I don't count SSI under db/PHP/etc. I'd stick it under HTML.

but that's just me... :P And it doesn't matter... :)
