Hi everyone...
Time is running.
I am very much concern to 3 Filipinos who were arrested and under death penalty in China. As Filipino, I really feel the same fear and sadness of their respective families.
Our Government spread the information that WE HAVE and WE MUST RESPECT the LAW of China and YES we do understand it but we cannot ease the pains and fears in ourselves.
Of course, it is their fault why they undergone that sentence given by China and we transparently admit and accept that. Yet, what we hope from China is not to take life of 3 Filipinos. Just to give them Life Sentence.
Drug mules is a heavy crime but they didn't take life. I hope that we must take in our heart to Value Life. Poor or Rich, Powerful or Not. No one has the right to take life of our fellowmen.
Hope God is our Greatest Fear...
Life is Once.

Just throwing this out there regarding China. Britain used Opium to gain a foothold in trade realtions with China. When the Chinese government stepped in and banned Opium, Britain went to war with China and kicked the door down, so to speak. It's understandable why China is so anti-drug trafficking. I honestly don't think this crime is worthy of the death penalty, though.

i had a Chinese roommate that was around while i was talking to some kids that where ...nefarious and after wards he gave me a big lecture on why i should NEVER do drugs. i talked about it to my best friend(who is from Vietnam) and he told me that the government puts out a lot of Anti-Drug stuff and has very harsh punishments for it. i asked some other Chinese kids about it and they confirmed it. my roommate was also a bit of a goody good which exacerbated the issue.

Life in prison is good enough than to be executed to death. Your families could still visit you and see you alive. Regrets and suffering is there but You have Life....

i'd definitely rather die than spend life in prison. fuck that noise.

There's also a quality of life issue I think the guys are trying to hit on. Of course I am hesitant of putting terms like "fates worse than death" out there. That puts the framework out there that you are non entity. What recovery can you build if you are in limbo worse than death? You can't come back, you can't bring back normalcy (or even fake it). You have fallen through the map and there is no end.

i would rather die as well, life with no way to act on thoughts would be horrible. in prison you have no freedom, nothing. you just sit there and do what your told. life in prison is living though not having a life, i would rather not live though not having a life...if that makes any sense
