i would rather die as well, life with no way to act on thoughts would be horrible. in prison you have no freedom, nothing. you just sit there and do what your told. life in prison is living though not having a life, i would rather not live though not having a life...if that makes any sense

I second that. When talking about life sentences, it's called a life sentence because it takes the rest of your life away. Same as execution in my eyes. Also depends what prison you are in since the lifestyle varies from prison to prison. In some countries a life sentence in a down-run prison means a life of torture, suffering and pain. Would you rather not be executed? I know I would.

There are some countries also that did not torture nor lead into suffering those prisons people.

In our country, there is livelihood given inside the jail. It is to make several stuffs like bags, souvenirs, hats etc.

We do deserve second chance....

well in America, people get raped by other inmates and other than books and writing(for some these are sufficient) there is no intellectual value to be had.

Sir:

I'm just pointing out our country since we do have separate jail for men and women.
So there's no woman inmate get raped by man inmate here in the Philippines. No instance like that here.

So in your country, you combined men and women in one jail? Is that so, Sir?

No, we keep prisoners segregated based on gender.

The purpose of jail is to strip you of your liberties and free will. I'd rather be dead than lose my liberties or my free will. Unless being dead meant I would receive ceaseless blow jobs and sandwiches. Then, count me fucking in.

Seeing your family doesn't necessarily make things any better. What if your family is poor and suffering and you are helpless to fix it?

Feel bad ofcourse but it is more painful for me to see my family executed into death.

sigh. But still we thank you that your country moved the execution this coming March30. I know that our Government did their best with this but ofcourse the final say is in the Chinese official hands. We learned lesson also from this.

I just wish that Chinese citizens won't do the same in our country.
I really appreciate on how you guys defend your country.

PEACE AROUND THE WORLD

But still I'm PRO-LIFE. :)

I honestly don't think this crime is worthy of the death penalty, though.

I do agree, Sir.

Murder maybe would be equal to death penalty since this crime took life.

American prisons are kind of like a military boarding school. Southeast asian prisons are more typically like junior high school: lots of stupid people are there to be 're-educated' so they can <re-> enter society, most of them don't ever really good answer to why they're there, everybody's high all the time and there is lots of awkward bad sex happening whenever nobody's looking. Possibly the biggest difference between a Philippino prison and a middle school is the fact that nearly no prisoners will need their parents to pay for abortions as a result of their awkward bad sex.

You already live in a cage like an animal. The panopticon is increasing every day. Surveillance - passive or active; monitoring of your activities and life. Analysis of your patterns. You are a number, a data point, something to be manipulated and controlled. It may not be a prison of your mind or bars you can see, but reassured they are there. Shut down your brain, go with the flow, consume, and herd like the passive fearful sheeple they want you to be. Spam, consumer electronics, soldiers dying in far away lands, and engineered weather. They - they in power - the marketers, the profiteers, the politicians, and the leaders. The systems are designed to keep you on a perpetual brink of poverty, raging avarice, and compliance. Control is taken out of your hands and replaced with a bag of groceries from Whole-Paycheck or a once-a-season lawnmower from Wallyworld.

Your life is tracked and you are pushed into chutes. Do not look left, do not look right, and assuredly do not look up. Straight ahead - follow the waddling ass of those in front of you. Do not wonder why - let us plug your cake hole with a delicious serving of reality tv and hyper processed foods. Oh yes, processed foods are bad for you - head to Wholepaycheck! What is that you say? You can't afford that? Take another job! Health is not cheap! You are too tired to head to the gym - spawn another child. We'll help pay juuuuuust enough. Die an ignoble death, your time as biomass is done. Your litter of offspring will pick up where you left off. To trudge the ruts you have put down. Turn the wheel, mill down hopes and dreams to grist. Maybe they are in a modicum of a better spot, but by then the messages and artificial reality will have numbed them.

The real is out there, but the simulacra is well in place. Lacquering over the Truth. Strangle the senses and bleach the brain. Attempt to step out side the system and they will throw you in a dark dark hole. Max security prisons where you will be swallowed up by the mass of filth and insanity. At least in there - you can see the bars. The rules are clear and rarely shifting. The power of your own existence is in your hands. What happens when prisons are more Real than this simulation of life outside the walls? Condensed real locked away, or are they on the outside looking in at us?

One two - skip to our loe! Three four - ignore what we keep behind the locked door. Five six - new neighbors will not mix. Seven eight - consume and lay prostrate. Nine ten - never wake again.

Cliffs:
- they can by pass your tin foil hat!

This announcement was brought to you by Coo-coo puffs. "Coo-coo puffs - when electroshock isn't quite doing it anymore. Now sit down and eat your bowl of social disturbia. The dog knows!".
