The Binge

Posted 06 April 2011 - 01:27 PM

I've been very, very, horribly bad today.

Starting with lunch (I always skip breakfast), I've consumed 3 slices of buffalo chicken pizza, at least a dozen tootsie rolls, a vending machine bag of chips, a 20-oz soda, a slice of birthday cake, and a Frappucino.

For the last four hours, I've felt as though I absolutely could not consume enough carbohydrates and empty sugars. No amount was enough. I needed more. So I ate it all. And now I would give my spleen just to take a nap. Yay sugar coma!

I've never experienced a raging need for a specific type of food before. On the plus side, the thought of carbs is now making me half sick. I think I'll have salad and water for dinner tonight... and maybe every meal for the next week.... ugh.

Has anyone else ever experienced this (sugar-related or otherwise)?

Battery-operated friends typically lack insemination abilities.

That's cute. That's just like a lunch, only smaller.

When it is an entire pizza, a real bag of Doritos instead of a snack bag, and a SuperBigGulp, plus 2 venti Frappucinos... then worry. Or call me and we can have lunch. :online2long:

That's an interesting statement, but that wasn't an answer. "Aliens work best for funky impregnation" could have been substituted and that wouldn't have been an answer either! ;)

It also could be an emotional eating trigger. How's your mental health? Any large stressers recently? (like being pregnant?)

I used to have a friend with a potassium deficiency. Mostly it didn't worry him, except every 3 or 4 days he would get an uncontrollable urge for bananas, and then he'd sit there and eat like 15 of them and then he'd be fine. It was kinda funny.

It is an answer. It is meant to insinuate that I have not known the naked flesh of another human being in, at minimum, 10 months.

... in reality, it's been (ever so sadly) MUCH longer. Short of immaculate conception, pregnancy is NOT an option.

And there are no major stressors at the moment... most of the major stress events have come to a close in the last week or two... post-stress binging? subconscious celebration?

"Used to"? Did this potassium deficiency kill him? Did he tangle with a gorilla for a big bunch of ripe bananas at the zoo when the craving hit? Did the Gwen Stephani song drive him insane with banana'ed desires? Perhaps he choked singing the "Dr. Zaius" song from the Simpson's "Planet of the Apes: the Musical"?

I moved from Australia to the USA. I'm not very good at keeping in touch.

I have a terrible tendency to binge, which is particularly bad when I've lost all the weight I have. I tend to just go nuts when I go off the plan. I did that this past weekend, then was unable to go to the gym for days due to a knot in my shoulder (from SLEEPING of all things!). I felt so dirty. Finally got back to the gym today, after I broke down and went to see the Physician's Assistant for some Flexril, which at least let me get a decent night's sleep.

Maybe you're having a growth spurt.

I have been binging on sweets and MD recently. And yes, I have had a lot of stress recently. A lot of times when I get cravings, it's for salty snacks, like potato chips. I rarely eat sweets (MD fills that gap in my diet), but damn, I killed a whole bag of easter candies last week. :(

Why, because she's a woman? I bet you want to end suffrage too! Women have rights - the rights to life, liberty, and irrational growth spurts.
