Mortal Kombat

Posted 24 April 2011 - 05:45 AM

The hype is over and the game is finally out!

Who here has it?
What are your thoughts on it so far?
Who are your favourite characters?

Oh and please keep spoilers in spoiler tags :)

My thoughts:
It's a contender for game of the year for me, it's between this and Crysis 2.
This game is the definition of fan service and the first true current gen MK game (MK vs DC doesn't count in my eyes).

Ditto. No kids here. My step-son is in Australia and built a pretty good gaming PC. My wife plays Tiger Wood Golf on the Wii because it turned out to be a more fun version of physical therapy after her shoulder surgery.

I just don't have the interest or free time for PC games. That's not a comment against them. Everyone has their hobby. I also don't collect coins or stamps, but I don't have anything against those hobbies. I'm sure there are many gamers who don't share my interest in hobby photography.

It's more than just a game, it's a series of games that go back to 1992 & spans not only pc & stand up arcade cabinets, but pretty much every major gaming console released since. There have also been multiple movies released about the characters from the game.

It's badass.I am surprised at all the features that is included in this game. All of Capcom's recent outings in the fighting game genre are truly ridiculous compared to all that you can do in this.

Also,

Spoiler

The story mode was actually way fun too. That is the way a story mode should be done. Not the MvC3 random 4-5 fights bull shit.

I like it, it has great features but i wish the story mode was a little more interactive, I am a fan of the story mode on Armageddon.

As for the live play, I like playing it but i don't like that you have to purchase a Kombat Pass...I already pay for XBL, I really don't want to pay extra for a single game.

Overall, I like the game, but just know that you will have to pay extra for live/online play.

Check inside your game case, there should be a redeem code there so that you don't have to pay for the online :)

Ya, there is a code in the case that allows you to play online for free. It helps deter the used game market segment.
