[Resurrected]

Hey guys,

I've attached an image of a some guys face. As you can see it almost looks like just a black and white photo but also not. It's almost as if the face is a black and white image of a "cartoonified" face as to speak.

How can one take a regular photo, and transform it like this one below using photoshop? Are there any tutorials you know that can show me how to do this or is this task called something in graphic design jargon, so that I can just go look up tutorials on this.

I am not sure how that's a cartoon-ified... Not say like Adobe Illustrator's "live trace" option in CS2.

From what I can tell that image was converted to black and white... then the Levels were adjusted to saturate the image and increase the contrast. There should be three sliders - move them around and see how it turns out... then it looks like a small Gaussian blur was applied as well.

Thanks modi123. Yeah "cartoonified" isn't really the right word. But what do you call a pic that has been "converted to black and white... then the Levels were adjusted to saturate the image and increase the contrast"..? Know what I mean?

Sadly, I can't do it in Photoshop, but in After Effects, it's pretty easy.
