Color Schemes

Posted 04 May 2011 - 07:16 PM

I am having the hardest time coming up with a color scheme for a web site I am making. For instance, the site I am making is for a floral design business so my best bet is earthy colors; browns, beige, greens, etc etc. Yet I am having the toughest time applying this colors to a design in photoshop.

What do you guys do to find colors that mesh well?

*edit*
note the business does not have a logo(can't rely for ideas off that) and wants a simplistic site, nothing graphic intensive.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

The cheat sheet above is one I used to use very often. Sites worth checking out are:

And above all, muck around with colours! I find it good practice to find a shade you like that is used on another website and try changing the hue. Just have fun, it is art after all!
