Skype purchased by Microsoft
Looks like Microsoft is going to buy Skype for 8.5 Billion dollars. Good? Bad? Who Cares?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
I was hoping Google would get it, I trust them a tad more than Microsoft or Facebook. I am glad that they do not seem to be merging Skype with Windows Live/MSN. I just hope they do not make it business only.

Like what Shane said, I hope they don't integrate it with MSN, but I'm okay with this deal otherwise.

Possibility of Microsoft removing support for Linux is less since they say they are adopting interoperability strategy..
Last year for an Asia's largest open source conference "OSIDAYS 2010" Microsoft sponsored as interoperability partner and they even kept stalls and gave free one year license to there cloud product Azure..
