I've used it and it was hard to set up AND all phpnuke sites end up look pretty much 99% the same.   Plus it's got tons of features you probably don't want and it's really hard to do major mods and even themes.

Yeah,   nuke is pretty sweet
it can be a little intimidating at first
and yeah,  it's way overload with features,  whenever I install it, the first thing to do is start deleting stuff!!  haha

Lately, we've been getting into PostNuke.
We got all the files,  if you wanna try it just let me know.  I'll install pnuke on your site with all 182 themes to pick from  8^)

Number 1, PHPNuke rocks, I was actually thinking of converting d.i.c to it, but said NAH!

I have it installed for a class project over at: http://cis278.dreamincode.net

I found to many bugs in PostNuke, but it could be cause it was running on a POS NT server.

Number 2, she can install it herself, this stuff with installing Ikonboards, and PHPNuke needs to stop if you ask me, I've been telling everyone that has come to me
to just try it out and learn, cause it may take 10 times, but in the end YOU know how and it's a good skill to have!

Oh, and it took me a mere 15 minutes to install, the instructions are only a page long... *shrugs* upload, untar, run the mySQL batch, set username and password in config file, run... that's it!

Hi this is Mike Pacific from DeskMod.com

I would just like to clairfy that DeskMod is indeed NOT running off of PHP Nuke. All code on DeskMod is homemade and we did not use any portion of PHP Nuke in the production of our site.

Welcome to dream.in.code Mike! Your site rocks man, just in case you didn't know

Yeh, I think I told Will that night it wasn't based on PHPNuke, I don't think you can do what you guys have done with NUKE, it's to... mainstream and... buggy.

Hey all, I figured I'd follow Mike's lead and post too. We found this thread by searching for 'DeskMod nuke' on Google. I was bored and curious as to how many pages out there said we ran *nuke and happened to stumble across this one. We take great pride in ModWorks (the core of DeskMod) and just want to make sure there are no misconceptions :)

Thanks very much for the comments, we really appreciate them. Make sure to keep an eye out for DeskMod 3.1, which greatly extends on the ModWorks core.

Thanks,
David Gorman
