The date has been extended to August 3rd not simply because of NeoTifa's want to participate and to give other members the chance to wind down from school and learn Java.

lol, i was just going to kinda do a simple 2D game that was only going to take me a few weeks of leisurely coding. given that we are talking almost 3 months i may opt for something bigger.

I am going to say...sure. BUT, in the judging, it will be taken into account. So it better be twice as good as the others

Do the Java games have to work on the PC, or can we enter with android apps written in Java? Will there be any judges with android devices able to test our apps?

Android is fine. As is JavaME. Mine is Android too. And yes, I'll be able to test your apps. Make sure to make it 2.1 or lower though.
