Making shirt designs, need some opinions!

Posted 16 May 2011 - 07:01 PM

So, I'm starting a shirt design company and we're mostly catering to militant atheists. These are our first drafts for our first shirt design.

I'm looking to know if they look professional, because I guess I'm somewhat emotionally attached to the images. I want to know which one is best. Any other input or criticism is also very helpful! Thanks.

Militant atheists? Interesting niche market.

Over all there's not much to discuss. There are sheep; copied, pasted, and flipped.

The only odd part is the sheep feet are not outlined like the rest of the illustration. Heck while you are at it outline the sign as well.

I would also think you would want to color up your sheep more. Especially the atheist one, and particularly on the colored versions.

The grass padded one just looks off. Perhaps drop a shadow for the sheep and sign?

Personally it's "meh", but I do find it ironic the "free thinking" sheep requires a sign to be told which way to go and the other sheep do not. Hahaha..

I agree on the drop shadow. It would make it seem more realistic.

Yeah, it is a bit ironic.

haha, not that I agree with your market  but a black sheep would be appropriate to set apart from the rest, don't you think?

I've tried this market before through Zazzle before their prices went totally nuts. I think draft3 is probably your best design of the set. However, I think most atheists would not label themselves as sheep, and I would just skip the pasture.

Regardless, I wish you the best of luck. I think you'll find it interesting that the majority of your shirts will be sold in the more conservative regions of the US. Most of my shirts went to Texas (and no where near Austin).

I'm liking design 2 a lot.

However I would like to buy a shirt with just the Atheist logo from 1.

Definition of MILITANT
1
: engaged in warfare or combat : fighting
2
: aggressively active (as in a cause) : combative <militant conservationists> <a militant attitude>

I am not a "militant" Christian, but I will pray for you all with love and compassion.
