when i type "expression" in code tags it puts 'b' tags

so i know the site changes things like "Javascript" for the sake of security, so I'm guessing that's the issue here.

when i type expression inside of code tags it changes it to exp<b></b>ression.

if(/*expression*/) {
   //up above it shows what i mean
}

is there a way around this? some way that it wont change it for site security?

This is a known site issue. At the moment, we don't have a workaround, I'm sorry to say. :(
