Remove gray bars on sides?

Posted 26 May 2011 - 03:19 AM

This is driving me crazy, I'm trying to remove the gray bars on the sides of the content and sidebar on my blog.
It is the start of a customization of the Default Wordpress Theme, found at http://wordpress.org.../themes/default

My site is at : http://blocksoccer.com with the gray bars there.

Here is the CSS file that i edited to remove the gray from around the header and footer:

With that theme you are going to have to get rid of them through inline styling. This means that the css code is embedded with the html. Also, if it is the default that I am thinking of you can just delete the images and see what errors you get from the browsers console.

This is why you should always do all of your styling through css sheets and not embedded into the html. Unfortunately the creator of the theme dropped the ball.
