So life has been generally fucked up here lately, stuck in the middle of no where, unemployed, bitter, angry, strung out. Just bad.

I'm saying fuck it, I'm selling off some of my shit packing my bags and headed to Denver to live on my cousins couch until I can get a place of my own. If all else fails I'll come back to the same shit hole I was in before, no harm done.

I have always despised everything about Mississippi, the people, the towns, everything. I hate it. My cousin has been begging me to come up there for months now and after this weekend it's definitely time I leave this place for good.

This is going to piss some people off.

Go ahead, tell me how stupid this is Because I know it is.

But what's the worst that can happen? I don't find a job and come back home to a house that is paid for?

Best of luck, the worst thing you could do in your situation is stay and just get more depressed and upset. Like the others have said, a little change is exactly what you need. I hope that things change for the better after a few nights crashed out on yoru cousin's couch

Lots to be said for this. having cousins to soften the landing will help but isn't ultimately necessary, if you spend a few hours on craigslist, you'll find some jobs you're interested in doing somewhere, and then find some cheap rent places in the cities that have the jobs that are most interesting, then start firing off resumes / CV's to the jobs that look most interesting in the towns that also look most interesting, see where you get the most valuable bites. you can decide where to move based on this, and have a place to stay and a job waiting for you to boot.

Only lesson I learned that I would avoid learning the hard way if I was in your shoes: go someplace where you already speak the language, to at least some useful degree, otherwise you'll be isolated and have difficulty even doing basic things. Other than that, don't limit where you look.

I was going with either Seattle, Dallas, or Denver. Denver won out. Awesome weather, rocky mountains, great people that I already know.

Denver feels right.

Also, I know have a job lined up. Just a simple restaurant job but it pays until I can find something major.
