Getting Started in Mobile Development

I want to start develop mobile game.But unfortunately, I don't know anything about mobile development. All I know is VB.net, java and some C++. I came here to ask

What I need to start or what should i be doing now?
which software to use? (actually I am choosing between QT and Adobe Flashlite... COcos2d is also an option)

With mobile development, you do have a few options. You have Android, iPhone, WP7, and BlackBerry as the smartphones. I personally don't care for iPhone because they restrict the language that you use to Objective-C, and you have to own a Mac to use the SDK. If you can find a 3rd party library that will allow you to use another language if you wish, I'd do that.

You say you are familiar with Java. In that case, I strongly recommend Android. It is an extremely well made API and is really fun to use. Here's the Java on Mobile Devices Blog Entry for more information:

WP7 is another great emerging technology that uses Silverlight to display its information. I don't know much about it, but if you know .NET, then this is a fantastic choice, as it is a rapidly growing technology - and one that requires more developers.

Really great for targeting multiple platforms with one codebase.
