How can I view/edit snippets I've submitted

Posted 05 June 2011 - 11:40 AM

Greetings everyone! :)
I'm a new user here... I've registered on this web-site, because of the FORTRAN90 snippets I've accidentally found thru Google... Thanks to the author...
I decided to submit some of my own.

So, I have a question bothering me:
How can I view/edit snippets I've submitted that haven't been approved yet?
I've submitted them several days ago, but none got neither approved nor disapproved... Or at least I've received no message of any of these facts...

I'd like to submit some more when I find some free time.

ThanX for the help beforehand!

May IDE be with You! :D

I can disapprove any FORTRAN snippets you have pending so you can edit them, if you want. :)

Admins have many things to do and there is a lot of snippets & tutorials there waiting in queue, so normally takes time to be approved.
Be patient :)

Thank you for a quick reply! :)

I have one MATLAB and one FORTRAN snippet pending. And I've lost link to the Fortran one...
How can I view these snippets? I cannot seem to be able to do that...

And how long does it take a snippet to get approved? I've read in the guide that it could be several days...
Will I be notified via email?

Sorry for so many questions :)

If you've lost the link, there is no way beyond my disapproving them. Snippet and tutorial approval time can vary based on how many qualified team members can review the snippets. Older and more obscure languages like FORTRAN and MATLAB may take a little longer than more mainstream languages like C++ or Java.

Oh, okay, I understand - You can't publish just ANY snippet a user submits... :)
Good. I just hope there IS someone to review them.

Can You view them? I mean, I have a URL of my MATLAB snippet, so I can view it. Even though it's not approved.
So, could You please give me the link to my Fortran snippet?

"My Conversations" page shows 0 new messages. I guess the server is just a bit slow to deliver the PM...
I'll be waiting :)

Thank You so much for the help! :)

Ohhh... I haven't received the PM, but managed to acquire the link by myself...
But it says it has been deleted... If it's not too problematic, could You restore it please?

I needed the code in the snippet, as I don't have access to its source at this moment. :(

I can't resubmit it, since it disappears from the list I see when it is disapproved. If you don't receive a PM within 24 hours, please post here again.

Only Moderators/Admins can approve/disapprove tutorials and snippets. What this means is that it will take time until one of us can review it and then decide whether to keep it or not. You will be notified if it is either accepted/declined (assuming there is no system glitch). As macosxnerd101 says, just resubmit it with the edits.
