Where do I find folder options

Posted 01 February 2007 - 11:33 PM

I wanted to make hidden files visible. So I went to tools and found no folder options on the menu. I couldn't find it anywhere else either. Does anyone know what to do?

Go to control panel. Folder Options. Under View tab, you'll see the options for you to see the hidden files.

But Folder options is not there. That's my problem. I found one more thing. If I log in as administrator I can access folder options. Is there a way to allow a person to access all this through the administrator.

Yes it is there. If ur in category view then u really are gonna have difficulties locating the folder options. Change it to classic view first.

Unless an account is not set to administrator, the said account won't be able to access other options really. I think that is the limited account.

In that case is there a way for an admin to change the view settings for another user?

Oh yes. But, the account must first be accessed.

At start up, if the pc is being used by multiple users, you may choose an acct w/c u want to be customized or changed.

I think it works that way.

It is because you account had no rights or it's been disable by the Admin.

Only the Admin account could modify your account to give such Privileged/authorization ask you techical person/TS.

A little late but I found the reason for the problem :)! Some stupid spyware had me fooled. I don't know which one it is, but I ran spyware doctor and its fixed now.

Lol yeah. I did that. I never had any problems before so I thought that was some user privilege screw up. I used spyware doctor, which found the problem. After that I run it again, used adaware and spybot. All should it clean so I guess its fixed.
I don't know where the spyware popped in from. Don't remember going to any untrusworthy sites.
