We have three tutorials on JDBC. Most of them are geared towards MySQL, but the major difference is just that you need the appropriate driver for Access. There are also a bunch of recent threads on Access with Java.

And you should really use something like MySQL over MS Access. MS Access is a poor choice in DBMS as it doesnt cope well with to many simitaneous users, and maitenance needs to be carried out offline.

Use HSQLdb 100% Java that knows what Java objects are and it is free
