I might get some free time to take a shot at this, C# .NET
Windows Forms Application or standard Console Application preferred?
Would give me a chance to revive an old project :)

I would like to give this a shot. I am new to programming but I think that I could make a good attempt at it. PHP would probably be my choice in language.

For those interested, I present the first version of codebot (cbot)

An interactive python/ruby/c++/c/java programming environment over irc. You can meet him occasionally on #dreamincode

For the code and a short introduction see here:

well this sucks, i got a basic framework but due to lack of support for threading in Lua im switching to Python. i spent hours yesterday trying to figure out how to work with Lua Lanes so that i could get threads that way, but due to lack of documentation my attempt failed :(

so no more Lua for me :(

Interesting. I don't know much about Lua, but you weren't able to fake it with select()?

I can't compete, but I wrote my bot in Python and it can be extended to do just about anything the way that I have it setup. Lightweight, but powerful.
