mobile programming

Posted 08 July 2011 - 01:30 AM

i want to write a commercial mobile application in java
which will provide a service to the users through a mobile
service provider like Orange telecom.
I want the service to be accessible to any phone irrespective
of it being java enabled or not
Is this possible and if possible how?

Yes, it it possible...on most phones, say Blackberry and Android, there is not even a question about whether Java is enabled or not. It always is on; however, with Android, it isn't J2ME. Now, on both of those you can also do C++, but you're on your own for that.I don't know about iPhone, but my guess is that it will never allow Java apps, as it hasn't so far.
