MAIL IN PHP

I have a website in PHP.
When user register i want to send them a mail of successful.
Can you tell me what shuld be the php script for this.
Want to send the mail from a gmail id.

Please tell me how shuld i do this.
I need it very badly

There are two ways.

First is the basic usage of the mail function. The second is to use direct communication with an smtp server.

Also have a look over this tutorial.

Both of the above methods assumes that a.) your web host allows usage of mail, & b.) your isp has port 25 open & allows you to transmit data over it.

The mail function.

bool mail ( string $to , string $subject , string $message [, string $additional_headers [, string $additional_parameters ]] )

Guyzz tell me that in the mail function we only specify the recipient address, subject, msg....
But how it will send the mail without knowing my gmail account information...

I think we need to give my gmail account info first...
Will you tell me how to do that...

Have a look over the provided PHP resources provided in post #3, as it exactly answers your questions. We will not code this for you.

Please feel free to follow up with questions, but do not expect us to do this project for you. You will only learn it if you try it for yourself.
