So, I figure now that Spotify is infecting the states, a thread like this may finally hold some relevance.

Been working on a playlist with Skaggles the past couple of days and it's full of annoying songs that are guaranteed to stick in your head.

Annoyingly Catchy Tunes.

Secondary topic: How are you guys liking it? I've been premium for a while and you've probably noticed me mention it a few times. I know supersloth is enjoying it too.

Also, I'm http://open.spotify.com/user/gabehabe - If you enable Spotify Social, it links with your Facebook anyway but a lot of people don't seem to bother, hence the playlist sharing thread!

Oh boy. Streaming music service. That should be a blast on cell phone data package limits.

Why the frak would anyone want to go that route? Is there something wrong with actually owning your music, being able to put it on your iPod or other brand mp3 player, disc for your car player and so on?

If I wanted to stream music there's only about 10,000 radio stations on the internet.

Of course this took Europe by storm... Don't they also think Mr. Bean is the height of comedic genius?

The social extent is linking it with Facebook, it doesn't try to be a social network in any way.

It's a fantastic service. As I said, I've been using it for a while (just checked, actually over a year)

For premium subscribers, you get to download any 3,333 tracks of your choosing to play offline, along with access from a mobile.

Even if you don't use the online player, it's a great way to manage your own collection and sync across devices.

i've been using it for a week and it's pretty fantastic. i enjoy other people creating playlists and sharing them out, for example, last years pitchfork top 100, and using that to find new music.

As a premium user, have you tried the radio feature yet? It's pretty cool for when you want to reminisce because you can select a decade to play music from.
