USB Data Protection

Hi,
Is it possible to make a mini project in java with concept as protecting our PC data when the pen drives are connected to our PC's USB port using some password authentication process?But problem is which system call is performed when a pen drive is detected?

Plz help me.....

I think the answer is the same as the last question you posted. Java is not the language for this kind of low level stuff. Look into C or C++.
