Best way to store survey results in a text file

Posted 26 July 2011 - 11:49 AM

Hello all!

I wrote a program that takes information from a survey and stores it in a text file. I expect the survey to be taken repeatedly so I just keep appending to the text file.

The problem is that I would like to store the info in more of an "excel" format, or at least something that is easy for me to write a program to crawl through later and gather data about what kind of answers people have given.

Most of the questions are along the lines of "rate the following from 1 - 10".

If you have any ideas any help would be appreciated!

Excel can read CSV (Comma-Separated Values) files. Simply delimit each element in a row with a comma, and each row should be on its own line.
