How to get into video game voice acting

My cousin has a sort of talent of making weird noises. I thought he could put it to use in the form of voice acting. He can make all sorts of voices I could easily see as some alien in a video game.

My question is how does one get into the voice acting business? Is college necessary?

And get an agent. Voice acting pretty much goes down the same way as normal acting. Get an agent to get his auditions, then they take a cut if he gets the part.
