how to create an executable file in C# for Windows forms?

hi ,

My question is how to create an executable file in C# for Windows forms, so that i can mail it across to someone who can view the C# Program.

Check your project's bin folder. Depending how you last compiled (drop down of debug or release) you should find a corresponding folder. You can zip up the .exe and .dlls with no problem.

If you're just interested in the executable, just open up the project directory, then look in /bin/debug. It'll have the executable, along with any added DLLs and config files. If you change your build config to Release, you'll get an executable without debug symbols (or the #define DEBUG flag set).

If you want an installer (and you have a VS version higher than express), you can look up Setup projects.
