Hi guys

I have found code for an IRC Client online which apparently works, sadly it does not.. I have tried asking the author but he does not reply. Anyway I was wondering whether some of the brainy people on here could have a look at the code below and let me know what the go is.

For some reason it just does not connect. According to all the other comments I am the only person that seems to be having this problem. I am probably missing something really simple. I want to be able to connect to a third party IRC server (gamesurge, quakenet, etc).

If anyone can help that would be great!

I dont know IRC well, but this may help.

Also it is better to be more specific, what do you mean by "it just does not connect" or "IRC Client online which apparently works, sadly it does not.." ? Do you get any error message ? if yes what it says? and if not what is really happening..

Ok well further investigation: When I click send it gives the following error:

Error: A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no address was supplied

It wont connect to the server and the only error message is the one above. I am sorry its so vague but its all the info I have.
