Too Fast
Posted 01 March 2007 - 05:25 AM
Today's not my day. I've got a new bike and people always ask why I don't drive fast with it(running-in phase).
I normally drive 80km/h, always trying to spot the speedtrap. But today I was humming a tune and thinking of something else
, the daily trip feels is so boring. When out of know where I see the guy hiding behing a tree, too late to brake now. It's a two way street like a highway, calling it a street because of a speed limit of 60km/h and it's a long way to travel. funny thing is I know that's where they always sit. The guy was facing(with the camera) the way I was going. I'm hoping, he didn't get a shot of my rear end or was he monitring the oncoming cars from the opposite side. I was driving at say about 78km/h. I'm not saying speeding is OK , but why me.

I did.
Well, speeding is a silly thing. I get caught a lot. I normally just pull a gun and everything is a-ok!

i also read the whole thing..
i live in a really underdeveloped country, so we dont have any kind off speed control, there are a couple off signs, but i can honestly sai, i dont know a single person who respects them.
You could drive 100 km/h (sorry, ~90 miles/hour) anywhere in the city..
so..tough luck you first world country bastards!

good point... people get angry when stuck behind an old 60-year old man going at 60km/h on a 50 limit... nobody is a perfect driver. for example, do you know many people who stop completly beside a stop sign?? personaly, I don't, and I do not even do it myself... somebody "trapped" behind someone who stops completly will push of the horn and yell something like, "hey you! are you waiting for the stop sign to turn green ?!?"... all this to say that no one respects the panels...

don't feel too bad. just stop speeding. i drive a mustang and cops pull me over all the time. even if i'm only going 5mph over the limit and i'm in the middle of a large cluster of cars. it's total bullshit. i recently lost my licence for 60days because of points. i'm getting a used civic or something.

Canadians drive like crazy... I often see cars which do not even slow down as they pass by a stop sign, or last day I saw a car at about 200 km/h pass in front of my house, do a U turn and vroom away at this speed...
My mother drives heavy trucks, and she often meet confusing situations on the road. For example, last day, a truck passed by her and the man was masturbating himself while driving and looking at her...
Also, in Ontario, a car was behind her and pushing like crazy on the horn, then passed by her, then moved back in the same lane, in front of her, and did not forget to do a "finger" to her... and he was zigzaging in front of the truck... I think this guy really wants to kill himself...
