So share your accounts? And what projects you have in public? Why use private?

So yes, I use Github. A lot of people use Github. Most everybody uses Github these days.

All of my projects are public. The purpose of private repos is to... be private. If you don't want to show them off just yet, or if it is a private company project, you use private repos. My company does this and I also have my book in a private repo.

I hope they have more powerful maintenance options in the future for example I hope your Gists are shown in your GitHub page and are separated by language. Anyway my github v I'll follow everyone

Also, gist isn't anything particularly special. There are a number of pastebin sites in existence.

By the way, PS2 plugins? Wow? Hahaha.
I don't have an idea what big project I could contribute to the nets. Hm.

Well, it's not what I wanted it to be. I kind of became stuck when it came to solid texture emulation (basically the heart and soul of most games on the PS2), since the GS's memory layout is so difficult to understand, at least for me it was. I got somewhere but emulating textures efficiently is still on my todo list for that plugin. Until then, it's limited to bland gouraud shaded polygons and I'll never be particularly proud of it.
On a side note, emulation is fascinating to me, if you're interested in it, it's a very challenging and enlightening subject. It has taught me so much about various types of hardware and components, in fact, I would say that writing an emulator is comparable to taking a crash course in computer architecture. Don't get me wrong though, i'm no expert in emulation, but I'm getting there, one day at a time.

I don't know if I'd go that far, but it is quite popular. Git is a slightly different way of thinking about source control. Github provides a free and very nice interface for open source repos, so naturally a lot of people love it.

I'd say it's pretty secure and fast.
