Application Icons

Posted 11 September 2011 - 11:59 PM

I developed some small applications for my company and I want to use their logo as the application icon. They have to be cross-platform because most of the users are on Windows systems. Right now I have them as executable JAR files. What would be the best way to distribute these applications with the icon? If it's a JAR then it will just show the JAR icon for each application. Thanks in advance.

You can always change it from Windoes
Righ click on the Icon/Shortcut and in the properties "Change Icon"

Or use JSmooth

http://jsmooth.sourceforge.net/

Not 100% true :)
You cannot change the Icon of a .jar
But you can change the Icon of a shortcut pointing to that .jar

There is also genjar

http://genjar.source...net/manual.html

As far as the link that disappeared is concerned, may be an Admin can explain this to us.
