Php transaction

Hi

i want apply transaction to insert record to more than one table
i am use mysql_query("BEGIN"),mysql_query("COMMIT"),mysql_query("ROLLBACK") but it is not work.
i also set AUTOCOMMIT session variable to zerro
but transaction does not work plese help me.
