@solidtuber: We're not simply going to do your homework. Have you even looked through our tutorials section yet? We have a tutorial on Scanner. You can check out the String class documentation (see the charAt() method) for how to retrieve individual characters. Start there, and make an effort. You've been around long enough to know the rules.

Moving two objects in applet indepenently. (for 2d action games)
How to use collisions
Creating hit boxes
Making game engines
Double buffering - seems to cause a lot of confusion
