@solidtuber: We're not simply going to do your homework. Have you even looked through our tutorials section yet? We have a tutorial on Scanner. You can check out the String class documentation (see the charAt() method) for how to retrieve individual characters. Start there, and make an effort. You've been around long enough to know the rules.

Maybe this has been over asked, but i would like a java game making tutorial for two dimensional games. Specifically an RPG style game, Where you may use a sword, i would also like a tutorial on being able to insert sound and images into games, and have the images be solid objects. Like separate backdrop and stuff, those are just some tutorial ideas i guess. I don't know how often those have been asked.

I would love for an extensive tutorial on the creation of exception classes. For those looking just to branch out, although it's not necessary. Also tutorials on creating Java based networking software too, just simple file transfer, also if it's possible, forced placement of a receiver program so the target computer can receive files without having to get the program on their computer. If it's possible.
