I'm looking for some good tech blogs to read. Googling is easy but there is nothing quite like a recommendation. So without further ado, which tech blogs and columns do you read regularly?
Here are mine:
http://martinfowler.com/ Bliki about doftware development
http://vanillajava.blogspot.com/ Blog about Java - lots of performance stuff
http://thedailywtf.com/ terrible, terrible code
http://www.useit.com/alertbox/ web usability column
I used to read a lot from http://www.dzone.com but I'm finding it has less and less I'm interested in lately (hence this thread).

- Android Central
- CNN Tech (not the best, but it is a tech site)

I won't read any blogs related to Gawker, so unfortunately, Lifehacker's out. That's the only one of the gawker family that I would actually care to see.
Other than that, not too many tech blogs. One of my favorite places to see programming news is reddit's /r/programming subreddit, though.

Codinghorroris a good blog that I read. I've also recently been reading this tech blog, pretty much about the author's interest in N64 emulation.

Giz is the primary reason I won't read any gawker blogs. They define shitty journalism. They want all the benefits of being journalists (being invited to conventions with press passes) without any of the responsibilities. One year at CES, two of their "writers" went around with a device that turns off TVs, and disrupted every TV presentation they could find. Then the editor made some halfassed apology claiming that they shouldn't be held up to journalistic integrity standards because they're bloggers.
They post biased stories and heavily censor their comment section. Between them and Kotaku, they've convinced me to never read another gawker site again.

I prefer /r/coding. I got sick of the .NET bashing on every single thread where noobs would foam at the mouth at the very reference of C# or Microsoft.
Over on /r/coding all of the posts are 100% pure code, no gospel and other crap.

I was gonna ask why to Curtis Rutland then I read the next posts. Yeah their commenting sections suck, since you wouldn't know most of the time there are other comments. The most read Gawker blog for me though is io9.

i wish people wouldn't call gizmodo a tech site...cause its not even close; its a general newsfeed aggregator.
i'm rather fond of anandtech. although it might not be gadgety enough to fall under the 'tech' filters.
