Hey guys, so i recently switched from coding python to c++. I used pygame to create 2d games in python and now that I am getting familiar with c++ I would like to start making 2d games with it and later down the road 3d games. So what can I use to make 2d games like pygame did? What is the c++ equivalent? Thank you!

I 'believe' pygame is, at its core, an extended wrapper for SDL. An "equivalent" would be impossible to find most likely but SDL(which is actually a C library) would be the closest.

What i meant by equivalent is that python has pygame for game programming so i was just asking what is the game engine most commonly used in c++. I didnt literally mean the same as pygame. Thank you for the help!
