link to a website which appears to originate from first server

Posted 23 September 2011 - 06:46 PM

Ok i know my explanation is horrific so please be gentle lol i am looking for a html/javascript file that will when clicked will bring me to a website without changing the entire url so what i mean is that is there some sort of file that i could create on a web server that i could use to access Facebook so when the link is clicked the url shows www.mydns.com/facebook and not www.facebook.com its to hopefully bypass a proxy server

Thanks for the help in advance :D

well yes and no see i have a media server running on this linux box too that is coming out on port 6000 and instead of writing www.mydns.com:6000/mediaserver i would like to have it like this www.mydns.com/mediaserver and i know it sounds lazy but its more of wondering if it can be done more so then actually needing to impliment it also yes just like a proxy workaround in college except i want it to originate from my server to show off to my fellow computer science geeks :P lol
