I've poked around the forums some and I can't seem to figure out where I'd post a more generic coding question in relation to game design, as all the subforums seem specific language based. It would be great if someone could point me in the right direction? I'm basically trying to ask which coding language I should start with for designing games on my computer. I'm teaching myself, although I will very likely be getting lots of help from here since this seems that's the whole point of this community. Thanks!

I would like to just add that you may have noticed we (and especially the mods) get rather annoyed when people post in wrong forums when it is obviously not right... such as C# in the Haskell forum for instance.
However if you just say your not 100% sure if it belongs there, the mods will not mind moving it for you!

That's exactly why I asked here, Shane! I didn't want to give you guys more work than you needed. But thanks for the heads up for next time!
