what are you attempting to learn about linux? there are a plethora of linux books out there but they all cover different aspects of the linux world.

The most popular terminal in the GNU/Linux world is bash or the Bourne Again SHell.

Just from a quick search on Amazon this one looks promising:

This is the book that I learned shell scripting on.

I'd also recommend a pocket guide such as Linux in a nutshell.
