I've basically had enough of my current webhost since they are doggedly sticking to PHP 5.2.17 with no ETA on when they will move to PHP5.3 or even provide a PHP5.3 server. I can get dedicated hosting through them, and ask for 5.3, but I'm not that keen to go from $200/yr to $2000/yr for that privelege.

So, I'm stuck with looking for decent PHP5.3 hosts. There's plenty of hosts out there, but I'm hoping I can draw from the experiences of fellow dream.in.coders and select one that's decent.

Right now, this is basically what I'm looking for:

• PHP 5.3 is a must
  
• MySQL 5.1+
  
• cPanel is preferred
  
• Shared server is fine
  
• Decent speeds (doesn't have to be lightning fast - if I want that I'll upgrade to dedicated)
  
• 1 domain, plus at least 1 sub-domain (for a testbed environment)
  
• Source control (SVN etc) would be a nice touch
  
• Cost no more than $200/yr

I've seen a couple of hosts that look OK, but I'm not sure if they are quality hosts or not:

• A2 Hosting
  
• Hostek

I'm leaning towards A2 Hosting. Has nyone had experience with them?
