PHP with MySQL Essential Training

Is the Lynda.com PHP with MySQL Essential Training a good place to start if I am trying to learn PHP?

Personally I'd go with this book -> PHP 5 Power Programming. It's for the beginner because it explains a lot of concepts in detail. Especially the core aspects of PHP.

I checked out the link also. I believe it's this you were referring too.

Just from looking at the topics it looks like it covers the important parts of PHP. As to how in detail it goes I'm not sure.

Yeah that is it. I was going to go through that and then the next one up PHP with MySQL Beyond the Basics. But I will read this e-book now as well thank you for posting that.
