Been a while since I posted on here but thought I would get you guys to take a look at how far I am with my new site redesign. The Link. I have gone with a minimalistic design as that is what I like and that is how I try to code.
I have used the HTML5 boilerplate for this as well and it has got a brilliant score and would be better if it wasn't for Google. A lot of content is missing due to me only properly starting this yesterday.
I look forward to any feed back as I am a developer not a designer.

Definitely has potential. I don't like the shadows around the headings, they are not crisp enough. The distraction free mode buttons need changing, they make no sense... but its a good idea.

@DarenR This is a site I want to use to show a few skills off so I thought doing something like this would show a bit of what I can do.
@shezzy I hadn't checked it on my phone, but I am either going to use the HTML5 boilerplate for the phone version or show that I can use Sencha Touch.
@Shane As I said above I am wanting to show of some skills and I liked the distraction free mode in Sublime so thought I would do something on my site. I am still tinkering around with it. The headings look better in other browsers than Chrome due to it being so crap at custom fonts. It is a CSS hack I have on it that removes the sharpness. I forgot to make it just Chrome so will do that when I get back.

I will have to admit that the slide paging feature that you are using is quite refreshing.

Question: Are you preloading all of the content so that you can use the sliding thingy (which is very cool)?
The site took a while to load while I was looking at, and if you are preloading everything the amount of time it takes to load will only grow as you add content.
What you can look into doing (because you're a developer you might like this) is using ajax to load content. So when some one clicks on a menu button you make an ajax call to retrieve the content of whatever they clicked on put it in a div and slide that div over. This way the site doesn't have a ton of hidden or preloaded content and can run supa fast.

Fell in love with the Distraction Free mode, works like a charm.
I like the whole design, though the top part should stand out a bit more. Its all just a block.
Tested on:
Midori: Ubuntu
Firefox: Ubuntu
Safari: iPhone 4

No, I usually ignore all your posts.
I wrote that via my opinion.

Currently all the content is just loaded in the page, which currently is not a lot. I am going to be Ajaxing the blog section and portfolio. But currently I am working on some other things first such as the sliding which I am updating to use a transform library instead of the custom code that I have made and keyboard events.

Ajaxing? Is that a word?
Keepup the good work.

This is my second attempt at writing this. I have added keyboard short cuts to my site. Currently its just left and right arrow keys that move the page side to side instead of having to click the different items in the menu, however, I am going to make the numbers select a page.
If you have any suggestions of other short cuts I could add that would be cool and I am thinking of adding a few Easter eggs into the site as well.
