Hi,
A while ago I made a website using HTML and connected it to a database I made in access to store member information. I'm a complete beginner and the whole process took me over a month, so I wanted to try Wordpress this time as it seems a lot faster.
Once I have Wordpress set up how I would connect a database allowing people to register and have their details saved so they can log in/ I can send mass emails out.
thanks,

Wordpress has member login by default which can be found in the settings section of the admin panel. There are also various plugins that allow you to give users special ranks, titles etc.
The best way to do this would be to use wordpress plugins that are already made. The second best way is to make a plugin for the website on your own which I wouldn't recommend unless you want to learn how.
