this may be a dumb question but sence i havent dug up much on web design im really curious of how each of this works or if they are all basically the same thing but just called diferent, and how do you incorporate each of them into your web?
any info is greatly apreciated ty.

well a theme is what your web site will follow such as a christmas theme, holiday theme etc...
templates are like blanks which you can incorporate your theme into-- like a cookie cutter of sorts.
layout is what you want the thing to look like such as when you layout a building design

i think im grasping the idea here, because ive seen people do layouts from photoshop, themes in flash, and templates in Css, now my question is how do you incorporate everything together?

well you have to think of a theme you want your website to look like--
design the website and create a layout. IN the template you add your theme and place your template in your layout....
